This November, we will be hosting a series of live events, designed to help you decide if UCA is right for you.

The two-hour sessions, will feature information from Heads of School, key academics and current students. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet Programme Directors and staff from the courses you’re interested in.

School of Film, Media & Performing Arts

4th November 2020

3pm-5pm

Covering filmmaking and production, television production, animation, computer games technology and art, performing arts and music, the School of Film, Media and Performing Arts has produced a host of well-known and award-winning alumni. Based at UCA Farnham, UCA Rochester and Maidstone Television Studios, our courses are well-established, highly regarded and industry-leading, and will give you key business skills, knowledge, understanding, creative freedom and confidence.


Royal School of Needlework (RSN) – BA (Hons) Hand Embroidery

7th November 2020

12pm – 1.30pm

The hand embroidery degree course is based in dedicated studios at the picturesque Hampton Court Palace. With expert teaching support from experience academics, industry professional and RSN embroidery tutor, you’ll learn the specialist craft of hand embroidery within a creative context.


School of Fashion

11th November 2020

3pm – 5pm

Our School of Fashion includes courses based at UCA Epsom and UCA Rochester. We pride ourselves on offering a wide range of courses that delve deeper into the fashion industry, from fashion design and atelier, to make-up and hair design and fashion textiles. As well as learning crucial skills in your chosen discipline, you’ll also become an expert in fashion, building your knowledge as you make the most of our industry links and experienced staff.


School of Further Education 

11th November

5pm – 7pm

Our pre-degree and Foundation Studies courses give you the opportunity to discover interesting and varied art, design and creative business subjects such as photography, textiles, graphic design, animation and crafts.

By taking a pre-degree course, you’ll be able to explore the subjects that you have a real passion for, which will then help you choose a degree that builds on your talents and artistic strengths.


Business School for the Creative Industries

18th November

Our Business School is unlike any other, leading the way in preparing graduates to enter the fastest-growing sector of the UK economy. With a range of courses tailored specifically for the creative industries – mainly delivered at our dedicated and state-of-the-art base at UCA Epsom – our graduates are able to adapt quickly in response to the fluid and ever-advancing nature of the sector. 


School of Crafts

19th November

3pm – 5pm

Our School of Crafts runs a range of highly regarded courses with exceptional facilities and impressive industry links. Whether you want to design products or interiors, create innovative ceramics and glass, produce show stopping textiles or become an artisan jeweller, our academic staff, practitioners and expert technicians will guide you on your journey to become one of the next generations of highly skilled makers and designers.


School of Architecture

20th November

3pm – 5pm

Our School of Architecture incorporates architecture and design and creative computing degrees at UCA Canterbury, as well as our Design for Theatre and Screen course at UCA Rochester. We have a distinctive approach to architectural and spatial design education and research that is informed by our rich Art School heritage.


School of Fine Art, Photography and Visual Communication

25th November 2020

3pm – 5pm

Conventions are questioned and norms are challenged in our School of Fine Art, Photography and Visual Communication. On our courses in Fine Art, Photography, Graphic Design, Illustration and Animation, you’ll be asked to re-evaluate your own practice, research historical and contemporary contexts and theories and experiment with a wide range of processes and materials.
